Junnar Tourism Development Organization is a non government organization working for tourism development, culture & nature conservation in Junnar. All above mentioned people are member of this JTDO. JTDO has established in 2011, with the objective of development of tourism in Junnar, conservation of culture & nature in Junnar, to search an employment opportunities for local people through tourism. So many other hands also working with same objectives with JTDO. Junnar Tourism Development Organization is an organization is baseline of JUNNAR TOURISM MODEL.

Manoj Hadwale is passionate for his hobby of tourism, traveling & writing about it. Being social entrepreneur, he has left his job from State bank of India in 2010 with the dream of sustainable development of tourism in Junnar. Where he has been designed a 3 tier JUNNAR TOURISM MODEL which includes Junnar Tourism Development Organization, Hachiko Tourism & Parashar Agri & village Tourism. Parashar Agri Tourism ranked in top 10 rural tourism centers of India by OUTLOOK TRAVELER in 2012. Manoj also working as technical consultant for tourism & dreaming for replicating this Junnar Tourism Model in rest of the places.

- About Jitendra:
Jitendra Deshmukh is the main pillar, master, guide, teacher to all of us in the development of Junnar Tourism. Jitendra’s areas of interests are Herpetology and Ornithology . He has Worked with the organization named “Sarpvishwa” and Forest Department as a friend of snake for social cause. Recognized First Aider from “Wilderness medical Institute –NOLS (USA/UK). He has Completed Basic Mountaineering Course in 1988 from WHMI, Manali (HP). He also Completed Advance Mountaineering and Search & Rescue course with grade ‘A’ in 1989 and 1991 from NIM, Uttarkashi (Uttara Khand). He has Climbed Mount Kshitidhar -18’200 ft. / Climbed Mount Thelu-19’800ft. Mount Abi Gamin-24’130ft and Brigu Parbat-20100ft & Completed White Water Rafting and Kayaking Courses, at Rishikesh with Snow Leopard Adventure, Delhi in 1994. He Leads the Yashwantee Jogin Expedition at Garhwal Himalaya in May 96 and climbed an unnamed peak of 20,600ft. He Headed Giripremee Khakbhushundi Expedition at Garhwal Himalaya in May 98. Extensive Rock climbing and tracking in Western Ghats and Himalaya. He Has done Bungee Jumping from the height of 180ft and h e is an active member of the famous Mountaineering club in south India “Giripremi”. Who has highest number of Eventers in India.

Vinayak Khot is a devoted and enthusiastic personality working for fort restoration in Junnar since 2007. Responsible teacher have taken great initiative in development of History club in Junnar. He has special skills in adventure sports like “Lathi Kathi” & had an opportunity to present it in front of Hon. CM , Maharashtra. For his work in fort restoration, he was awarded with many honors like “Durgmitra”. All fort restoration movements going on in Junnar are under the guidance of Vinayak Khot.

Rajkumar is renowned botanist of Junnar. He has been exploring wildlife since 2005. Rajkumar has recorded two plant species on “Flowers of India”, the web database for wild flowers in India. Currently he is recording and studying flowering plants in Sahyadri especially the flora on hill forts. Apart from this, Rajkumar is considerably good bird-watcher. He is also recording butterflies in Sahyadri. He is an acclaimed wildlife photographer too. Rajkumar is a very good blogger and currently writing a blog (www.sahyadrivandhan.blogspot.in) on wild flowers in Sahyadri.

Bapuji Tamhane is unique personality of Junnar well known for his collection of rare beongiings of Satvahana dynasty. Though Bapuji is small farmer with an average condition but very passionate about his historical research & all. While doing excavation in Junnar by Deccan Collage Pune & Archeological Department of Maharashtra, Bapuj was the main source of information to them. That’s why he was facilitated by Deccan collage with certificate for his participation in excavation movements in Junnar. Apart from this he is well known for his 1300 articles in news papers & magazines about historical references in Junnar.
